Chris Morrell on WBS League Cup exit

"So to be honest, probably the last thing we needed this weekend was a long trip to such a hard working Penrhyncoch side but despite a very late coach arrival, the lads came really close to getting something for their efforts.

I've always admired 'Coch' as they have an identity, stick together and are a well organised, hard working club with some notable wins already this season so to run them so close with several key players missing, it's testament to the players hard work.

Finishing with three 16 years olds on the pitch who did themselves proud, it's a good lesson of what expected but there are definitely things we must improve to create a more positive environment to help players focus on just the game.

We started nervously again and it took conceding a goal to relax and create some sustained pressure which led to to a couple of really good chances to level things up that on another day will end up going in.

I think out of the past 3 games, Guilsfield and today we have been very competitive so that's the expectation from us from now on and we will certainly always work hard to get better.

Best of luck to Pen and with our new faces coming into training this week, then hopefully we can begin to find some selection consistency in the coming weeks.

Huge thank you once again to our travelling supporters...

Chris...."
